To address future needs, expand our business, and better service our markets we decided to establish our local fiber optic factory, after years of importing our brand from OEMs worldwide.
Major industry drivers paving the way for growth in demand for fiber optic cables are the increasing demand for internet; the rising use of FTTx networks; and new applications, such as cloud computing, data storage, data transfer, IoT and machine type communication (MTC).
In addition, the African Market is presently one of the fastest growing markets for fiber optic cables and accessories as seen in recent deployments all over the Continent.
We are confident that our standards-based factory testing capabilities and our leading-edge products will empower our customers to stay ahead of their peers in terms of cable technology and network efficiency.
Our factory was established with an eye on manufacturing efficiency and cost optimization. We therefore identified the best equipment in terms of reliability, flexibility, operability and maintainability.
We currently manufacture regular single mode outdoor FO cables, as well as FO accessories mainly patch cords and pig tails.
We plan on adding production lines for blown micro-fiber as a second stage in our manufacturing plant.
